Helena held a leadership role at Global Footprint Network, directing fundraising, operations and human resources. Previously, she successfully recruited more than 100 senior managers for NGOs around the world. She also advised the Skoll Foundation on the creation of the Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship, organized programs for UNEP's World Environment Day events in San Francisco, and managed the Goldman Environmental Prize. As a Program Officer with the Richard and Rhoda Goldman Fund, she obtained funding for innovative initiatives and organizations. Plus, Helena was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Democratic Republic of Congo and subsequently worked with Peace Corps Recruitment. She has a Masters in Environmental Studies from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a BA in Psychology from the University of Rochester. She is proud to have been a co-founder of Rainforest Alliance.
